The 80/20 lifestyle is all about having a little cheat day (your 20%) once in a while to treat yourself for living healthy the other 80%. In honor of our cheat day, we've compiled a list of our favorite PB&J recipes that definitely land on the 20% side of our diet.

The Lunchroom Classic

Ingredients:

  • Original Peanut Butter
  • Grape Jelly
  • White Bread
  • Potato Chips

Directions:

This simple but classic sandwich is simple enough to make, too! Spread peanut butter and jelly on each piece of bread, place potato chips in a layer on one side and bring together. Enjoy the sweet and salty crunch!

PBrie & J

Ingredients:

  • Almond Butter
  • Brie Cheese
  • Arugula
  • Strawberry Preserve
  • Multigrain Bread

Directions:

Grill bread in a pan with a light coating of butter. Take toasted bread and layer one side of the multigrain bread slices with almond butter and fresh arugula. Then, cut pieces of brie cheese to place on the opposite bread slice. Spread a bit of strawberry preserve across the brie cheese half and bring the pieces together for a high class 80/20 sandwich.

All-American PB&J

Ingredients:

  • Peanut Butter
  • Apple Jam
  • Sliced Apples
  • Bacon Sliced
  • Whole Wheat Bread
  • Pride

Directions:

Grill bread in a pan with a light coating of butter. Layer one slice of bread with classic and delicious peanut butter and thinly sliced apple. In the mean time, cook strips of bacon to be either chewy or crispy (your preference). To complete the sandwich, spread the other slice of bread with apple jam and place bacon on top. Enjoy with your favorite bald eagle friend.

Dessert PB&J

Ingredients:

  • Nutella (drizzled)
  • Fresh Berries
  • Peanut Butter
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Strawberry Chia Jelly
  • French Toast Bread

Directions: Cook deliciously golden brown french toast. Layer one slice with strawberry chia jelly and fresh berries, and layer the other slice with a delicious drizzle of Nutella. Coat in a shake (or two!) of powdered sugar to top it off!
