This superfood can actually help boost your concentration and memory for hours after consuming them. Blueberries are packed with antioxidants which scientists believe stimulate blood flow and oxygen to the brain, keeping your mind "fresh." In one British study presented at the British Science Festival, participants were given either a breakfast smoothie containing 200g of blueberries or a control smoothie with the same sugar and calories - but no blueberries. They were then tested on their short term memory. After a few hours, those at the festival who had not consumed blueberries that morning showed a lower level of concentration and performed at a lower rate than their blueberry sipping counterparts!
